whos the dick who keeps changing the cs page ?

seem like they are making it worse not better, now they want you to login with facebook or some shit, this is getting close to the end of cs for me, i dont trust the people behind the site or the way they are doing things its getting way too facebook, google, big brother, just leave the dam site alone dont try tell people were we are everytime we log in becouse u never get it right, dont try and make it super hard to send a request. thats my rant just leave it how its was its fine.

if u agree or disagree you should write what u think that way maybe just maybe somone might listen, but proberbly not

I think that the new 'Auckland' forum is clumsy and user-unfriendly, and that it was fine before it got dicked about with.

Same here guys, Berlin group offline for a week already and nobody got informed - all subgroups gone, none of even the moderators got a message about it ... we wrote to Mr Fenton and asked for tutorials for the new site - I'll post here should we hear from them ... no fun!

+ 1 for Douglas, frustration is not about the modernisation of the site, it's about the lack of information and tutorials ...

The Auckland group seemed to me to be going pretty well, with most posts being answered; those that remained unanswered were largely requests for information that was easily searchable or people wanting to meet for a drink. As someone has already pointed out in this thread, there are locals who were consistently involved and helpful on the forum (side note: choosing not to do this because of a lack of a written thank-you is a bit precious).

I don't think the privacy is the big issue here (well at least it isn't for me) it's the functionality and practicality of the forum that has been seriously affected, not to mention the huge volume of carefully written helpful information that is no longer accessible.

It has made the site a real mess, and I seem to spend ages now trying to find things that were easier to find before.

Just wonder if they actually tested the 'new' site before making it live, as it seems to be much worse than the older site.

I might just be old fashioned, but I would like the old site back, but with some reliability improvements.

hahaha so much frustration!!

It wouldn't be couchsurfing if they didn't redesign the entire site every 10 minutes.

That's part of the fun :)
