Thank you!
My travel friend and I have mapped out where and what we want to see on both sides. It is the how we travel that we can't quite nail in the ground. We figured hitching in the North would be easier than South, however it is not always reliable. Our other option was rent a car and tent places.. but we are not sure if you are allowed to just pull over anywhere. Then there is the bus, that we have heard can cost $1 and you can see a lot of NZ and is pretty flexible. At this point, mode of transportation is my biggest concern.

Hey! Maybe you could help me, I have the same issue, only 10 days to see all the mail highlights of the north and south islands, could you please help me to plan our trip?
Which one of these places are more worthy to see?, and which one could we avoid?
Ahh we have to start in Auckland and we are going to leave Nz from Christchurch or Queenstown, I m no sure wich one is better

Many thanks for your help!!!

Hi!!

I have some more time than you, but i have the same question.

I have read some information and some people make the trip to both islands in 20days. Although maybe it is not the best way, but sometimes there are not choice.

Maybe is better start first with south island for the weather and go up. So i want to try to start in the south but i don't know yet how.

I will be in Auckland on the 15th of Feb, i am looking for people to share adventures, information, trips, experiences, cost, so on :)

Cheers!!

Andreu
