looking for a host around christmas at the east coast of the US

Dear couchsurfing community,
I'm a student abroad for one semester and will start my travel around the US after my finals before flying back to Germany in the end of January.
I'm looking forward to travel but I'm concerned about spending Christmas alone at a foreign place.
So I would love to be hosted by a nice American family or spend some time with new people during these days.
Feel free to contact me if you’re also traveling around in the end of December or if you can offer me a place to stay! :)

Hey Katha! I'm in the same situation as you this holiday season except I almost definitely in NYC for Christmas. My brother is flying over from UK on 26th to the 30th to see me so I'm fixed to the city. If you get any offers from somebody in NY then do tell me about them! Likewise if I get an invite I will pass on the info to you if you still need a place to stay. Hopefully being with somebody who is in the same boat as you this Christmas will make it more comfortable.

All the best!

Hey guys,
I found a nice place to sty during Christmas, got invited by the aunt of my room mate at college. So I will be quite familiar with those people, what's nice.
Thanks for your answers, maybe see you in Miami during New Year? ;)

We are actually about three hours from Miami... but if you come to the southwest coast of Florida, maybe we will see you! ;)
