"as long as everyone chips in"

How many people are you expecting to get in a tent, Ian? They can get pretty stuffy. My brother and I shared a huge tent with two 'three person rooms' and it was still awful.

After three years sweating and being unable to sleep in the ovens that are the Sziget tents, I'm going all middle-aged and staying in a hostel this year...

...but I would quite like a tent space just in case I want to leave some stuff somewhere and to sleep if the trek to the hostel feels unbearable. And to have somewhere to lay my hat and call my home. Otherwise I'll have to loiter, and no-one likes one of them.

So I'd be happy to 'buy a space' in someone's tent...

Four people in a four-man tent in Budapest in August WOULD DIE.

The Mountex one seems perfect.

I'll put in 20 euros to reserve half of one (I double I'll even sleep in it).

Depends on how cute the girls are ;-)

Actually... last year I was hosting 3 girls i my tent for quite a few nights... (I had a 4 person Quecha tent... totally recommend them!)

There are decathlons in Budapest... but kind of hard to get to them without car though... my tent is still in Budapest and I am going to have space for people there this year too... but I am not promising away any spots in advance... but in my experience everyone found a place to crash in the end... sort of ;-)

I'll be volunteer on the "civil island" from 12th till the end, with a 2-persons-tent, I have one place free. If anyone interested for these three nights, let me know, first come, first served.

As I can see from the posts, the CS-island is planned to be again on the northern part of the island, behind the world music stage, it's a good area! Can I ask somebody to reserve a place for my tent? I'm coming on 12th, around 10am. Or do you think it's enough if you just put the tents a bit "spacy", not so close one to another, so that later-comers can fit in the company too? I would be happy to be able to join you!!

Thank you!
Eszter

Hi Eszter,

I just joined the CS-Sziget group and find you message :)

I am a Sziget-virgin and really interested in your idea about sharing a tent! I guess you must be on Sziget earlier, because you are now volunteering there?

However; if you are also into arranging something together, let's send PM :)

Take care!

Hi Ian,

I think we should get two of the green ones, for example, and fit 2 people in each. So for example, you and me in one, and the other Mette and a fourth person in the other - just as an example. Maybe us girls should share a tent in stead ;-) We can always plan more detailed when we meet.
But the small tent is way too small, and the blue/black one doesnt have that divided sleeping/storage area like the green one has.

I'm arriving on the 8th cus I'm also going on the canoe trip, and I have a tent! I don't know how big it is yet because it's borrowed and I still need to set it up once before the end of the week but I'm sure I can fit at LEAST one more person in this tent. I'll write again if I can fit more than 1!

You're right, let's see if we can get a space in someone's tent before we get our own - we'd have to wait anyway, so let's just do that :-)

Hi chicks and chico's,

My name is Nikkie, I am an experienced festival goer, but Sziget is for me (also) the first time. So another Sziget virgin! I really do look forward to meet you all (at the cs area) guys, by wearing the awesome paperhats! :)

So nice to see all these comments on the Sziget group and all these conversations already. So many people, from so many counties. Definitely it's gonna be FUN!

For the first nights, this means the nights of 8, 9, 10 and 11th of august, I 'tentsurf' with my 'tenties' (an alternative for homies or roomies) Eszter from Hungary or/and Musa from Turkey.

For the nights of 12, 13 and 14th august, I am maybe looking for some tentspace to drop myself. Maybe, because it depence on the fact of our tent is big enough to host all three of us or not. If not; it would be really nice if I have the possibility to join someone else in his/her/theirs tent .. :)

If you are open to maybe offer me this opportunity; great! You can reach me on my CS-Profile or via superil1@hotmail.com.

Much thanks in advance! See you all soon! :)

Take care!
With love,
Nikkie
