CouchSurfer who runs education nonprofit is in town

I thought the group might be interested to know that a dude running the NYC Marathon grew up in LIC and is supporting a charity bringing education to poverty-stricken children. His story is really compelling and appeared in the Queens Gazette yesterday: http://www.qgazette.com/news/2012-10-17/Front_Page/LIC_Marathoner_Returns_To_Help.html

The guy who runs the charity, Go For Hope Int'l, is a CouchSurfer. Both these guys will be in town for about a week around the time of the marathon (11/4).

If you know of anyone who would be interested in hearing a talk (i.e., organizing one) by either or both of them, ping me. The CouchSurfer (Joe Hafner) talks about responsible charity, poverty, education, etc. He has a super compelling story too. It appeared in this news story: http://www.rentonreporter.com/community/171562641.html

One NYC church has requested to hear them, and I can post that info when it's nailed down if you're interested, too.
