Hola Vineta,

Bendiciones. ;)

Well i could understood something as my spanish is not so brilliant...just starting to learn...well as some people are lucky to not get malaria but some people get it so as we want our with out problems we are considering what we could face before we come...as we are nature people and will definitely go in to nature...we need to think of this issues and especially that my boyfriend with whom i will come have problems with mosquitoes usually...so its pretty serious issue than to consider to protect ourselves as its nothing uncommon in SA....very interesting about B1 vitamin...definitely will think about using B1 as i had problems with B vitamin missing in my body so needed to use injections some while ago...but what about Cymbopogon nardus...its against mosquitoes...but is it working for malaria mosquitoes.
Muchas gracias

Hi Vineta!

Well, firstable you should tell us which places are you planning to visit with him. And I'm not talking about the country, I'm asking for cities. I live in Rio and there is no malaria in here. Depending on where you are going, you don't need to worry about that, ok?

Other thing, in SA we speak spanish in most countries, but SA also speaks dutch, portuguese, french and english in some countries. Do you know that? :)

have a nice trip!

Hi Vineta,
As Raphael told you, depends of which places you are going to because is most South America cities malaria doesn't exist... is not really usual but places when we could find that disease are usually very poor places with tropical environment.
For example I live in Peru but when I traveled to Brasil they asked me to take a shot, really a vaccine against malaria and everything was ok.
Ask in a near hospital which vaccine you should have and for how long it works
