Volunteers in Jericoacoara for August 2012
Posted July 31st, 2012 - 8:21 pm by from Jijoca de Jericoacoara, Brazil (Permalink)
I realized my dream and opened a hostel in the beautiful fishing village, Jericoacoara. There are plenty things to improve here as it's a brand new place!

Therefore I started to do exchange programs for long term traveller who like to stay for a bit longer in Jeri: Free bed against free help in the hostel. If you like to join our team please contact me and tell me what you like to do. Usually we need all kind of help...keeping the place clean, help with the breakfast, gardening, maintenance, cooking for the team, decoration, painting, graphic design, social media skills, language skills, etc.

The place is very new, in the center of Jericoacoara, placed not far from “Duna do Pôr-do-Sol” and the main beach.
We provide a tropical garden with BBQ, tables, chairs and hammocks to relax under Papaya and Palm trees, a common kitchen, free book exchange, entertainment games and evening events for travellers. Our concept is to obtain a sociable place where the guests have the chance to meet other travellers for cultural exchange, interchange travel tips and to relax in a comfortable and entertaining environment.

I'm searching for helpers who like to improve the place and keep it going in a diversify group. Helpers who are skilled and experienced in different things. Usually we are a team of 3-6 vary helpers and we are working hand in hand and learn from each other. Everybody has his own little project and is doing what he likes most if possible. Beside the personal project there are also the daily tasks which are necessary and need to get done all together.
If you prefer socializing instead of an absolute privacy this is the right place to help.

The help is needed from now onwards!

Angela,

Congratulations! Sounds like you are doing a great job to help the Brazilian community in Jericoacoara. I have done some volunteer work in Costa Rica with a good organization. I helped out with English classes. I have a strong public health background and I am looking to travel to Brazil to do some volunteer work for a short period of time (1 month). How does your program work? I will be curious to explore this opportunity since I am looking to travel in Mid October. I hope we can connect.

Best,

Carolina
