Travelling in Brazil in December, anyone? advice?
Posted December 1st, 2012 - 12:36 am by from Waterloo, Canada (Permalink)
Hi guys,

I am a Chinese guy (China-born-China-grown) who will travel in Brazil from Dec 7th to Dec 31st, alone. I will arrive in Rio on 7th in the morning. I will stay around Rio till 13th and then travel around (but I don't have a form schedule yet!)

I would like to know if there are other people travelling at the same time so that we may be able to go together. I am a little bit scared of travelling the whole trip alone.

I plan to visit Rio, St Paulo, Manaus, Iguazu, and possibly Pantanal.

If you have any advice on how I should arrange my time, what transportation should be taken, etc.. please let me know. If I could have a person to contact in Brazil I will feel much safer too..

If you can offer a couch in those places I would be most grateful. I am thinking about spending the Christmas somewhere.

If you are interested in having me join your trip that will be great!

Thank you!! I hope I could see you in Brazil very soon!!

I don't simply find a way to connect all the places by flight

Try to use decolar.com to connect your flights in Brazil. Before your travel check about availability of air pass to fly by a cheaper value.

Use the function Post Your Travel Plans with an approximate date of your stay in the cities you want to visit.

Thank you! I am trying to make a final decision.

The flights are much more expensive that I expected (and than I saw two months ago)

So what do you think is a reasonable price for Rio <-> Manaus?

I am searching online and maybe it's because the Christmas, the prices are all like 2000+ R during my visit.

Is that reasonable?

Or I should try other methods to book flight tickets?

Thank you!

Rio-Manaus can be like a Rio-Miami, try to fly to other capitals like Belém or São Luis. From Belém you can take a boat to Manaus.
