Learn bosa nova in brazil

Dear community!

Recently I've planted a seed in my heart, to come to brazil in August (six months from now) for a period of two to three months, settle down in some cheap apartment, get a guitar and find a teacher that will teach me the basics and more of the bosa nova music - theory and practice.
I play the guitar for many years, but I'm very average. never bothered to deeper my understandings of music theory.
This time I would like to do it thorough, and I would like to do it oriented to the beautiful brazlian bosa nova which I very much love.

Who can help me regarding the issue?
Where will be a good place to live in? teachers? guitar?
good people around me? musicians? etc.

Whoever will help me will gain points and could come and surf at my couch in my awesome apartment in Tel Aviv (:
sounds good? beautiful.

Thanks a head for all the tips!

I am a Bossa Nova fan and like to read and listen to it, it's the history of the city I was born in. Copacabana an Ipanema have the credit to be the inspiration for Vinicius de Moraes and Tom Jobim and just the openers of this New Beat, New Wave... Many musicians, singers then flocked to Bossa Nova. Because of this new style is so connected to the beauties of Rio you have to take in the city first. August is a perfect time to start understanding the place and people here. See you!
