Posting a parcel home to Australia...
Posted December 28th, 2012 - 5:29 am by from Fremantle, Australia (Permalink)
Has anyone had experience with sending parcels by sea or air freight from Ecuador to Australia???
I know from experience that I will buy too many souvenirs when I am in Ecuador (February 2013)...

From the UK I could post parcels faily cheap by sea freight to Australia.
From South East Asia I could post parcels cheap to Australia...

From Morocco i could not post by sea freight and had to spend $100 to post by air...

Also from India I could not post by sea freight.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Will most likely post from Guayaquil.

You can try sending with "Correos del Ecuador", they have programs or promotions if the package not exceeds 5 kg.

good look!!!

Hi Sarah
I had the same 'souvenir problem' ;) I sent a 4.9kg parcel by air mail with Correos del Ecuador from Quito to Germany and it cost me around $90. The price will depend on the weight, I think it starts from $50 for a 2kg parcel but better check the website for Australia. They told me there is no cheaper option.
But service was excellent though, the parcel was recorded signed-for and delivered within a week.
