His somebody can host us (me and my boyfriend) or just a coffee talking to give us your experience

Hey Gaelle,

I would be up for coffee with you guys. unfortunately I cannot host at this time tho.

Regarding security, Guyana is not as bad as some people think. Just do as you say and keep your valuables out of sight. If you have expensive cameras or laptops you should put them in your bag and not have it visible all of the time.

The road from Parimaribo to Georgetown is an all weather road. The road from Georgetown to Lethem (the border town next to Brazil) is mostly a sand/dirt road/trail. At this time the road to Lethem is still okay and the different bus services to that area are still running. I expect that the road to Lethem would still be passable during July but it might be a bit of a rough journey in some parts.

Best wishes and safe travels!

you can walk around and explore georgetown...take a bus to parika or go up the linden highway to splashmin's nature park and camp over-night. when do you arrive in Guyana and how long will you stay here?
