Hi There!

I'm traveling and recording videos with interesting street musicians (buskers) for an international project World Street Music (Facebook,YouTube)

I'm in European trip right now: Warsaw, Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Prague etc. (trip details)

26th August I'll be in Paris. So can you advice some places where I can find interesting street musicians there? Or may be you know some of them and can give contacts or any information.

you'll find easily find some on the bridge between "Ile de la cité" and "Ile saint-louis" (close to Nodre-Dame Cathedral) ; in front of BEAUBOURG and around.

There are often pretty good "official" subway groups at the Saint Michel station, although not exactly original "street" musicians.

There used to be a pretty good rag-time pianist at the Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Rennes corner, but I haven't seen him in a long time.

The bridge between "Ile de la cité" and "Ile saint-louis" Arnaud mentioned is probably the best shot so far. There's a free piano some people sit to, and other entertainers. Actually, a few of such pianos are left throughout the city, which is a great invitation to music...

You can also try the Notre Dame cathedral square, Sacré Coeur stairs or Centre Pompidou plazza. You'll need some luck to find good musicians there, but the nice background views are guaranteed.

Cheers, have a good hunt =)

I don't know if "street musicians" includes the subway, but there is that terrific musician in the ligne 2. He has this amazing voice, sings very well and plays Jimi Hendrix's Little wing like no one else.
