Tango this February - and hosting options
Hola amigos tangueros,
I've decided spontaneously, just now, to come to Buenos Aires this February.
It's the first time I'll be there, and I would need some info if you know and you can help, am interested in the following:
1) youngster's practicas and youngster's self-organizing events, initiatives, ..etc, besides the popular milongas. Which would you reccommend?
2) A not so expansive place to stay for this month - do you happen to have any reccommendation or know any friend that would have a room, and doesn't live too far from the milongas locations?
I'm a respectful and common-sense guest, I would not disturb much, and I would like it very much to stay in a local person's home, to get a better feel of the culture of the place.
3) IS anyone going to the Chicho seminar and searching for a partner?
Thanks a lot and huge hugs!!! :)
hey! Luisa, how are you.
I can recommend you to places where to dance tango. The first one is LA VIRUTA, a very famous Milonga of Buenos Aires, and the other one is MALCOM, another famous one. Both of them are very close to each other They are in Palermo. I go to those places, if you want tell me and we can met there with my friends.
bye!!! have a good time in Buenos Aires
How are you? I am from Holland and I will be in BA as well in february. I will stay at the Art Factory Hostel. I am planning on a lot of dancing. When are you staying in BA?
There are many "youngster" milongas. Of course the meaning of the word young changes when you grow older :P
But yes, there are many, Ventanita de Arrabal, DNI, Bar los Laureles, Sanata Bar (there's another in Almagro , I just forgot the name now), Club Premier, etc...
Regarding tango hostels, I do know of two, but I have no idea about the prices. I will send some information later.
No idea about the Chicho seminar. When is that taking place?
