Hi everybody,
We are a french couple and we dream about tango course.
We have see a lot of milanongas but we didnt know wich one chose. We live in a small hotel in microcentro and we have a small budjet. We don t want to go to see a touristic show we want living tango in true.
The problem is we have not nice clothes we have just backpacker style not so glamourous. Maybe is it possible to rent clothes for this occasion.
Thank you a lot for your help.

Hi Aurelia and Nicolas

As far as I know, backpacker clothing is OK for many milongas. Tomorrow, I mean Tuesday, I will go to one very small place with live music called Ventanita de Arrabal. It is very casual, has live music, is a la gorra which means you pay whatever you think is enough, so I guess is good for your needs.

Ventanita de Arrabal

Direccion/Adress:RIVADAVIA 3832.

When/cuando: Tuesday/Martes.

I too am traveling and do not have nice clothes. Most milongas are casual but it does help a lot to have good shoes if you are going to be here dancing awhile. Here are some locations I enjoy:

Peru 571
Monday and Wednesday
class at 9pm, milonga starts at 10:30.
live band at 11pm

La Catedral
Sarmiento 4006
class every day, but be warned they start 30 - 60 minutes late
very bad floor but it's a fun room and all levels mix together freely.

I will be at the milonga at Peru 571 tonight ( forget the name) but probably not the class.
