Advice on my home country please :)
Hi guys and girls,
I'm from JHB and am very embarassed to say that I have been backpakcing for three years and have barely travelled anywhere in South Africa. For this reason I've decided to have an epic two month backpacking adventure in South Africa with some awesome company... CSers!
Together with an Italian boyfriend and Aussie friend I want to see for myself and show them everything that home has to offer.
But of course, I'm really out of touch and have no idea where to start...
I have nothing at home except for family and friends dotted around and a few boxes of textbooks (haha!) so I really need some help and advice, please :)
We will be arriving at the end of November and have until the middle of January together. We want to start in J'burg so that I can catch up with everyone I've missed for three years. Roughly what we'd like to do is east and west coasts, namibia, Zim for Xmas with my family, Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana.
My first stumbling block is Transport... I don't have a car anymore and am not sure if it'll be best for us to buy a car or rent one (two of us are only 24 though...) and what kind of car we would need in terms of space for three people and terrain... and possibly an idea of price?
Hope to hear from someone soon!
