鄉鎮市名改採漢語拼音
Dear Taiwan CouchSurfers, we are pleased to announce that we are in the process of converting the CS Taiwan place name database to use the official Hanyu Pinyin romanization. (I personally would like to do more than just the township level, however we must reflect the official situation.)

Well Evan, you'll be pleased to know that current Government policy (行政院營造國際生活環境推動小組[亦即曾志朗]民國98年5月6日國際字第09862600081號函), and thus the changes to the CouchSurfing database tables we made, uses the exact combination of systems comfort level that you prefer.

(Regarding Taipei County sinage, please see http://pinyin.info/news/category/misc/signage/ .)
