June Trekking
Posted May 2nd, 2012 - 7:12 pm by from Toronto, Canada (Permalink)
Hey All,

Looking for anyone interested in some trekking in early June. I'll be travelling alone and it would be great to have some company. Arriving in Reykjavik June 6 and departing June 13 with no plans yet.

If anyone is feeling more adventurous, I'd love to do some camping for a few nights in a park interior. I'll have some gear, including a two-man tent.

I'm Canadian, 23, male.

I'm already here in Iceland and I have some suggestions already where you should go. So if you need any help with planning where to go just contact me. I'll be doing my rafting internship at that time, but lets see if i could get a free day for day hike or meet up.
Welcome to Iceland!

Hi anna, have you found a beautiful place that that is not in the lonely planet or not so well known? I would love any suggestions you have :)

Hi Danielle,
I know loads of places not described in any guides, but there are no trails, and they are not marked on any maps, so it makes it hard for you to find the routes... plus there are no bus going there so basically the best way to discover off the beaten tracks areas of the highlands is to go on a well selected guided tours... But don't worry, places described in the guide books, marked and where buses stop are already extremely nice and stunning, so you'll have fun anyway!!!
Ask me if you have more specific questions!

I just got here a couple days ago and am also looking for some to travel and hike around with. I am here until June 27 and piping to make my way around the whole island, doing as many hikes as possible! I also will be tenting it most of the time probably so I'm up for anything!
Let me know!
