Hi,
Actually, I have no idea where the best spots are. But I'm going to work voluntarily in Glyfada at a sea turtle rescue centre.
I can check out a few spots and ask the locals when I'm there ;)

Cheers,
Carine

Hey!

I spent the summer of 2011 working on Crete in a diving school and it's true... there are not many fish around. The highlight of my time there was when I saw a sea turtle. Once. But otherwise there are octopuses near the shore and grupas in deeper water and some interesting wrecks to explore. Let me know if you need any additional info!

Hey!

I was working at Diver's Club Crete. Their equipment is good, air is clean and they generally take good care of their divers with the exception of sometimes making them wait for their dives for too long. If there are any particular dive sites you would like to visit (for instance Messerschmitt plane wreck) or Blue Cave, you need to be persistent in demanding that this is what you want and you'll not be happy making all of your dives on the same sites nearer to the shore. There is the factor of weather as well, of course, since the more exciting sites are usually also more open to the winds, but this is just something to bear in mind that they like to take the "easier" way out sometimes.
As far as Ios, I haven't done any diving there, but I visited the diving center at Mylopotas beach and they seemed like very nice people and the dive center looked good as well. If you have any other questions I might be able to answer, ask away! :)

If you get a chance go to cyprus which is near turkey and dive the Zenobia in southern cyprus it is in the top 10 wrecks in the world. Just remeber that u can only enter southern cyprus thru the Greek side and not the Turkish side .
