Deep ecology workshop (free) 21st July in Prinzesinnengarten, Moritzplatz
After couchsurfing across Canada and the US I was really looking for a way to bring people together to think about the ongoing ecological crisis in our world and share ideas and thoughts on what we can do to stay positive faced with the mess we're in.
Here is a workshop, it is free, really just an opportunity to get people from different backgrounds together:
How can we nourish our hearts and souls while we undergo social upheaval?
How can we steer away from the life-destroying industrial-growth society and contribute to one that is life sustaining?
How can we face the social and ecological mess were in without going crazy?
The work that reconnects, developed by Buddhist and system theorist Joanna Macy, is a fun workshop that guides you through a set of interactive exercises. It allows you to reconnect with yourself, others and the Earth, to help you find new ways in which you can become an actor for ‘The Great Turning’, the shift towards a life sustaining society. Whether we can achieve this shift is unknown and, as with any revolution, entails suffering.
This workshop is there to help you navigate a path through the Great Turning that can nourish and strengthen your life, while at the same time helping you deal with the world in greater joy, creativity, and peace.
Please bring a poem or song if you feel like sharing it!
