Wait.
Monitor the progress in ToU before login. then if you decide to log just to cancel noone can say that you used the service, since you logged in only to cancel.
I doubt, in case of IP or Privacy violation, that using the site to opt-out would be considered usage.
Also: there is an option "keep me connected". that in some clients works better, in other worse. If one has the better would never see the notification.
To enforce the rule they have a legal way, but due due to the new ToU i do not write here, unless they give me a substantial compensation.
alsao, i never received, as i received for the change of 14, a notification.
So on 15 i read the new tou, that looked [they were] identycal to old one and resumed use.
I have not received any notice yet.

So September 21st came and went, and the Terms of Use linked from the bottom of the webpages are still those dated 13 July 2011 (but actually posted only August 24th 2011, after the announcement of the "conversion" from a New Hampshire non-profit organization to a "socially responsible B/C Corporation"), with a note saying that new policies will go into effect on September 21, 2012.

I'll interpret this to mean that neither of these terms apply, since the old ones have expired and the new ones have not been officialized. I will for now assume that exclusively the laws of France, where my profile is registered, govern my use of the CouchSurfing website :-).
