What happened to this group?

Hello, everyone.

I am very much surprised to see that "Leaving CS for Bewelcome" (http://www.couchsurfing.org/group.html?gid=59753) is flagged as deleted.

Does anyone know the background of this?

Cheers,
Jean

"We recently removed this group because it was being used to coordinate
advertising spam to Couchsurfing community members. Spam and
advertisement is something that we take seriously and want to address
quickly, whether it's posting about a pet project, a corporate company's
offers in Place Page posts, or members spamming links via Messages and
Place Pages."

If that becomes official policy, they'd better update the terms of abuse as I don't see where the current ones back up that position.

Now you even have to agree with yet another legal trick from the CS HQ to be able to post in groups.

The more they do, the worse.

Interestingly they decided not to use that clear agreement process for the new terms of abuse, probably because that would have resulted in a the number of actual members/users/active profiles and prevented them from claiming that there are 5.5 million.
