help needed with finding temporary work in NYC
I'm new to the States. Been travelling around the world for over a year now and I believe it's time to take a little break, "re-charge" my batteries and earn some "quick" money before continuing my journey around the western caribbean, Mexico and West Coast of the US.
So, I will be coming on a TOURIST VISA to New York on the 30th of December. From then, everything is possible ;-) but I may need your help and expertise with trying to find a temporary work in the City.
I do have over 4 years of very SOLID work experience in hospitality industry, mainly fine dining restaurants (Japanese and Italian) as well as upscale champagne/wines bars so I do posses great customer service/communication skills, I am organized, enthusiastic and can multi-task under pressure efficiently, in a team leader or indivudially.
I have been mainly waitressing, but can do bar-work and hostessing as well.
Having completed two degrees in international management and having travelled extensively worldwide enhanced my abilities to embrace different cultural perspectives, develop a global mindset, improve strategic thinking and team work. Ideally, working in airline management would be a dream-come-true work.
The only problem is currently I am on a tourist visa. Of course, if a long-term opportunity comes up, I am happy to try and apply for a work permit. However, if you guys know anybody that seeks a temporary restaurant/bar help and can pay "under the table", I am ready to go ;-)
Don't hesistate to drop me an e-mail at: email@example.com or via CS. I can also provide a cover letter and CV upon request.
Many thanks for taking time and reading this post. Wish you all very merry Xmas and the happiest new year!
