Hi Parisa,

I guess you already know about this list: http://www.wien.gv.at/freizeit/baeder/uebersicht/ As for working out most pools are not really helpful to sports swimmers as they hardly ever mark at least a lane or two exclusively for the faster ones. However, it helps to try out pools regularly to find out the best times.

So, for example the Döblinger Bad opens on wednesday and friday at 6:30 a.m. and even though there are usually more people than you would expect it is very good for swimming as they are all working out and there is really no one interfering – not a single cross-swimmer would ever survive two lane crossings in that bunch :)

The Ottakringer Bad is usually pretty empty in the afternoons however the pool inside is really old and not suitable for e.g. flip turns.

The Jörgerbad has open until 9 p.m. on fridays and there are less people there the later it gets.

So as long as you are flexible I guess it pays to check out the pools close to your home more frequently and find out which days/times fit you best.

Happy swimming!

Max

And most of them have saunas and if they do, pretty much every pool has at least a finnish and a steam sauna, so no worries there ;)
