Climbing for beginners
Posted December 14th, 2010 - 7:02 am by from Vienna, Austria (Permalink)
Hey,

I'm looking for a climbing partner in Vienna. I'm a complete beginner, but I'd love to start climbing. Anyone out there who either likes to teach a bit or maybe is a beginner too?
It'd be great to hear from you,

Claudi

That sounds really great!!

Mary, are you in as well?

Where do you go climbing? Just to get an idea of the directions and thinking about how to reach it after work and so on.

I'm so excited. Thank you for your response, Lukas.

I can't wait to start!!

i'm here over the holidays, and won't be doing much but studying, so i'm flexible about the time.

If there's any chance you guys would still be willing to deal w/ beginners the week of the 10th...I would really like to start climbing! (Un)fortunately I'm visiting my family in Denmark until the 6th, so I can't start before then.

Looking forward to the chance!

Are any of you guys still climbing regularly? Doesn't look like there's been any activity recently... but I'd be really interested in meeting up if any of you are going out. I climb in the 5c-6a+/5.9-5.10b range (so not a total beginner, but still at the lower end of things). I'd also really, really love to climb outside if anyone's up for it.

Hope to hear from you all!

Laurel

hey
are you still going climbing. I started to go climbing at christmas, it would be great to find a few people to go climbing with ...

Posted April 29th, 2011 - 6:38 pm by from Vienna, Austria (Permalink)
hey
i would really love to start climbing. i am an absolute beginner though. let's organise sth (if there is not already an organised group already that meets regularly)
there is a pretty cool outdoor wall at haus des meeres. i have to check though whether there are instructors there as well.

Yeah, lets go climbing! Now the weather is getting better I prefer outdoor climbing. Does anybody know a good place in or near to Vienna? I have some experience but not that much...would be great to find somebody who can lead a climb.

Posted May 7th, 2011 - 2:13 pm by from Vienna, Austria (Permalink)
I think the Flakturm (at the back of the "Haus des Meeres") is a nice place to do outdoor climbing. So far I have just been climbing inside, but I would be up for such meetings every now and then as well.

seems like we have the same interests, I went playing frisbee aswell yesterday to the Währingerpark (I joined the training of a team) ... so maybe we can play frisbee togather aswell :-)

unfortunately I hurt my feet a bit, so it wouldn´t have been a good idea to go climbing today, cause it still hurts a bit, but let´s go next week, (the beginning of the week would be better, cause I hope to get a few days of by the end to go to salzburg)

so, have a nice weekend :-)

Posted August 15th, 2011 - 4:24 pm by from Vienna, Austria (Permalink)
Hey you 2 :) I love climbing! I just have no "education". Can I join you anyway?

hope you enjoy your weekend (:

Posted August 16th, 2011 - 8:35 am by from Vienna, Austria (Permalink)
Yes, you can! ^^ But for me this week is horribly full. Any plans for Sunday? ;-)

Looking forward to hearing from you!

All the best!
Gyuri
