Hello,

You should follow "La chaussée jules Cesar" a former roman road from Lutèce to Rotomagus (Paris to Rouen). I rode it few years ago, nice landscape of Venxin National Park.

Bom Dia Patricia,

I think you got some good advices from fellow cyclists here above.
In addition, I'd say you can find an interactive map of the cycling paths in France here :
http://www.af3v.org/CarteAF3V/carte-detaillee.html

these guys cycled it the reverse way : Caen->Paris
Inspire yourself from their route :

To buy a bike, there are also some big sports/leisure chains in France like
Decathlon
http://www.decathlon.fr/F-10016-vtc
or
Go Sport
http://www.go-sport.com/sport/cycle/velo/vtc/l-730000304.html
which sell brand new bicycles which will match to your "adventure".

Do NOT cycle on a "N.." road, which means Nationale and therefore support heavy traffic and looks more like a free motorway.

Good luck, bonne chance!
