Sunday Salsa night 2

Hey CS'ers - enough of you have said that you really want to learn, or just get out and dance, but don't feel comfortable shaking it publicly just yet. We've got the pictures to prove you feel pretty comfortable around each other, so come on out and learn some salsa with some CS'ers, or just show what you already got.

Allegro Ballroom in Emeryville; lessons 6:15 - 8:15, dance party 8:15 - 12:30. show up when you want. $12 with lessons, $8 for just the dance party. Free shuttle from MacArthur BART until 6:40pm.

The first one went pretty well, though we figured we could make it work better as a CS group thing by offering basic lessons ourselves in the back studio for those who prefer that. We'll get more time in practicing, plus be able to work as a group with CS'ers, so it should be a pretty comfortable scene.

If you have other suggestions for group salsa, or are up for practicing, let me know!

I'll definitely have to catch you all here when I back into to town (in about 2 weeks or so). Here's hoping to meet some of you soon!

I hope to be there... as I would be visiting the berkeley kite festival... which I believe is also nearby.

Viva la Salsa!

PS: I am going to Albertos (Mountain View) tonight... they have a live band playing there tonight. Anyone else going to be around... do ping me!

good point - maybe I'll mention that on the kitefest post. it's very close. two exits west on I-80, and the Allegro is right off the highway. also a quick bikeride from where the kite fest is. Just shoot down the frontage road to powell ave and take a left a block or so and a left into the parking lot.

I've heard good things about Alberto's but never been there. You'll have to let me know how it is

Hope you can make it and look forward to seeing you there,
