I private party would, in my opinion, be the coolest! But don't know if people are keen on throwing a party for complete strangers :-)

I’m totally agree with you guys, for my it’s the exactly the same case of Chris, but for me the idea is remain in Paris no matter what. I don’t want to be in a very expensive party, but have a good time on a privet party or a half price club with other CSers it seems ok. Being with people I don’t know before is the main meaning of couchsurfing ever; it never bothers me at all, and in fact always has been a good thing to me. So I guess it’s just matter of organization, find a place and put all the people together, all be updating the news I find (for a place and timings). I arrive Paris 31th morning with a friend. Let’s stay in touch.

Greets.

Antonio.

Hey guys,
I don't understand this group. I thought you are looking for a party where you don't have to spend money. And then you started looking for options where you have to get money to get in. Confusing...
I can tell you what I did. I sent couple of couch requests and one guy replied that he is making party at his house so I he can host me and I can join the party, obviously.
I'm not inviting you to that party, I'm not an organiser but what I'm saying is that it is possible to find a party with people who live in Paris, small nice ones. You just have to spend hours on sending personla requests but I'm sure it will be worth it.
Good luck and have fun.
Maria

I'm sorry, now I feel like I was attacking you. I'm sorry if it sounded that way. I just wanted to give you ideas because it is possible to spend cheap New Year's Eve, if you really want it. And I have no experience but I'm afraid New Year's parties in the pubs arenot worth their prices.
Yes, big thanks to James, for creating this group and for organising an event.
And also big thanks to NOMADTEACHER for organising trip in the streets. I will definitely join.
Christopher, I hope you will fing a couch after all, I looked at your profile before and I was looking forward to meeting you. So if you happen to be in Paris, even for one day, let me know, ok?

Yes, I'am in Paris until 9ish. So yes, let's meet, would be my pleasure.
In March I should be in Poland unless I get a job elsewhere but most probably Poland. Nice research by the way :)

So guys, if anyobody wants to meet in Paris, let me know :)

Posted December 16th, 2011 - 9:32 pm by from Paris, France (Permalink)
Yes, yes, yes,.. everybody yes. I'm agree about all you both say. I haven't buy any tickets yet and maybe I'll join you, depending on other friends a have in Paris. What NOMADTEACHER said it looks a good way to meet up the group, but if anyone wants to take a ticket for a club it will be too late, so by now I'm still thinking... tic-tic-tic... :D

I have one other chip possible party:

http://www.tribudenuit.com/soiree/35576-we-are-the-90-s--soiree-jour-de-l-an.html

Just 12 euros and very close to Montmatre to spend the 00:00 up there...

Even if we don't go to the same place after it could be good to see you on the NOMADTEACHER'S meeting place...

A bientôt..!!

Antonio.

@Maria

The idea of this group was to summarize all the opportunities given on this evening and let everyone choose on his own.
I came up with the idea of celebrating NYE into a club. NOMADTEACHER suggested to go outside after eating and drinking into not expensive places, and Adrien offered his house.

By the way, the "club group" is gonna rejoin the NOMADTEACHER's group and celebrate 2012 all together. I can't wait to see all these people together on the Eiffel Tower's grass !! ^^

James,
I appreciated you creating the group, I just didn't find it very useful that in the post entitled: frugal New Year's Eve there are no frugal options at all.
I'm sorry.

@Maria

Christopher is the one who created this thread. As you can see, there is a question mark at the end of the post name.
Also, in the message, he's saying : "I just don't want to go broke in my first week of traveling. Ideas anyone?"

NOMADTEACHER came up with her idea, you should read her offer. This is the perfect definition of the word "frugal".

Antonio did find some parties, even a cheap one : 12€ !! By the way, Elysee Montmartre is a nice place ;-)

As I said in the previous message, Adrien is hosting a (free) party into his place.

Everyone understood the cheap thing and laying the foundations by offering good deals, nice parties, not 60€ pubcrawl ;-) (joke)

Alicia just added a new party.

The "Showcase group" will rejoin NOMADTEACHER's group before heading to the party. It could be a perfect meeting point for all the CSers who will be outside on this evening.
