Invitation to Sustainable Summer Fest 2012 in Austria
Posted June 28th, 2012 - 4:39 pm by WORLDTRAVELERS from Vienna, Austria (Permalink)
Hey everyone!

The Sustainable Summer Fest 2012 organised by the Vienna Sustainability Group will take place on the 18th and 19th of August and we wanted to invite the Berlin Sustainability Group to take part!!

It will be an overnight fest in Jugendhaus Schacherhof (http://www.schacherhof.at/), a large hut in the mountains in Lower Austria, which we have rented just for us. There are bunk beds for everyone and there is a large kitchen and several activity rooms, games rooms and many walking trails nearby.

The location is 2 hours by regional train from Vienna (St.Peter-Seitenstetten Bahnhof) and with an Einfach-Raus group ticket (http://www.oebb.at/en/Tickets/Groups/Einfach-Raus-Ticket/index.jsp) only costs €6 per person each way with a group of 5 people. From the train station it is then a 20 minute walk.

Will have workshops, fun activities, cooking, upcycling, BBQing and take walks in the surrounding nature. A detailed plan of activities will be posted soon but in the meantime please let us know what activities you would like to do or better yet help organise.

Planned Activities:
- Bread baking workshop (Ben)
- Reading circle (Veronika & Betsy)
- Laughter yoga (Veronika)
- Upcycling workshop (Betsy)
- Discussion workshops
- Sunday hike (Ben)

The event is limited to 40 people. The first 40 to join this event will have to pay for the event by the 18th of July to secure their places (details to come). We have yet to calculate the exact cost but it should be around €30 per person which includes accommodation, all meals (vegan), materials for workshops, etc.
