next meeting @ garden rehberge
Posted September 12th, 2012 - 10:32 am by from Berlin, Germany (Permalink)
Hi everyone,

like discussed in the last meeting, I offered my garden spot for the next meeting.

The meeting in the garden includes the possibilities of finding ways how CSler can participate in that piece of land.

For example:
- build a mud/clay house
- support with weeding in exchange for fruits/veggies

Let´s hope the wheather will be good in October so we can have an BBQ.

I might have to work at the first october weekend so chances are high that we have to hold the meeting at the second october meeting.

Hey Antje,

thanks for the post. 2nd weekend in October is fine for me - any other opinions? If we agree on this date I'd set up an activity for the meeting. Maybe the last weekend of September (29th) would be an option as well?

Antje, where's the garden exactly? How do we get there?

Best,
Verena

Some news to the garden and meeting.

I got my schedule for October. I do have to work the first October meeting. So the meeting if hold in the garden needs to be October the 13th.

Other good news or (for the clay builders not) My brother found a good quality garden house for a decent price. we hope to build that till the end of September. That means we even have a sheltered space for the meeting.

Now in order to get that done in time we would need some volunteers to carry the pieces of wood and sand from the truck to the garden spot.

Anyone interested drop me a line. Time most likely will be the next two weekends.

Cheers Antje

Hey everyone,

I just found out that I most likely wouldn't be able to make it in October and wanted to suggest again the last weekend of September for the meeting because I'd really like to take part. Plus if you wanted to set up the garden house anyway somewhen around that time and need some help - then maybe that is an idea worth considering...

Any opinions?

Antje, would that work for you?

Cheers,
Verena

Perfect - if September could work out would be great! Especially because I just found out that I definitely won't make it in October...

Considering that I will be leaving Berlin at any moment after the 25th of September, there is a bigger chance that I would be able to attend a meeting in September than in October :)

@Bridalu - Yes. This will be the second monthly meeting.

The meeting regardless of where it's held, is only to discus ideas and plan activities. We will not be doing any (physical) work on that day.

Last meeting we did as a potluck, so maybe this one could be as well. But in any case, everyone is welcome to join and you are not required to do or bring anything if you do want. Just come :)

Hi everyone.

1. The last weekend in September is fine with me as well. As chances might be hig as well that the weather might be good enough.

2. Sorry for the confusion. Everybody who wants to join the meeting is of course welcome regardless whether the do help out with the garden house or not!!!

To help me is a TOTALLY volunteer project. The reason I asked in this group is maybe with some help we could have a house already for the meeting. That´s why I even bothered asking.

And there are no skills required. All I need at the moment is people who spent me one hour off there time to carry wooden pieces from a truck to the garden next sunday.

Garden is to be found in Quartier Napoleon, Birkenweg 9

Perfect - I'll create an activity for the last weekend in September under the name "2nd Sustainability Meeting" and post the link here. :)

Antje - it'd be great if you could monitor the activity closely as well in case of questions concerning the garden and how to get there etc. - that's ok with you?

Posted September 18th, 2012 - 9:38 am by from Berlin, Germany (Permalink)
Ok - here's the activity:

Antje, you said the garden is in Birkenstr but I couldn't find any Birkenstr near Volkspark Rehberge so I just kind of copied your link - could you pls check if the locations correct? Thx.

More: Beginning time is 3 and ending time is 7 - that's ok?

Ok - not Birkenstr but Birkenweg - but also Birkenweg I couldn't find... sorry... :)

Posted September 18th, 2012 - 12:14 pm by from Berlin, Germany (Permalink)
Hi Verena,

you won´t find Birkenweg. It´s not an official street name. It is only for the garden community. So once you are at the garden colonie Napoleon you need to know Birkenweg 9.

Hey everyone,

the meeting today is cancelled because Antje will not be in town today because she has to help her brother in an emergency.

Sorry, but that's just how it is sometimes!

Hope to see you next time and I wish everyone a great day with lots of sun.

Best,
Verena
