World Naked Bike Ride Barcelona
Posted June 2nd, 2013 - 6:03 pm by from Barcelona, Spain (Permalink)
Come and join Barcelona's annual naked bike ride and help local cyclists make themselves more visible in the heavy traffic of Barcelona's crowded streets. Treat your bicycle and your body with a calm ride on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Amazing. Can we get bicycles from the BICING programme?

Well, if you've got the card you can obviously use it. If not, you can rent a bike for about 6 euros/2hrs in companies like Barcelona Ciclotours, My Beautiful Parking etc. There's plenty all around the city:)

Hi, I think I must have written in another forum that the cheapest rental seems to be Greenbikes (1,5€/h) so I recommend you to check that out.
As for duration and conduct rules, I reckon the ride will be about an hour long (don't think we'll depart before 17:30), it is a peaceful manifestation that requires the collaboration of all its participants, especially when stopping the traffic. In no case are we supposed to show anger towards the motorists or pedestrians; when insulted or asked what the protest is about we are expected to explain them calmly the foregrounds of the event. Lastly, but not least: according to the current law it is not aloud to be naked in the city center, therefore it IS THE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY and decision of every participant to undress her/himself as a way of protest. Dressed cyclists are absolutely welcome to join the ride.
The route needs to be confirmed yet, but we'll mostly traverse the city center, cycle pass the Sagrada Familia and perhaps finish on the beach.
