Advice for camping on the first week of October
Posted September 29th, 2013 - 11:12 am by from Seoul, South Korea (Permalink)
Hi all,

So I am heading to HK on the 2nd of October, and thinking about camping for few days somewhere. I am a light camper, I don't need to be able to set the fire, things like that.

1. Tai Long Sai seems to be the best place to be in HK for the beach and camping. Do I need a waterproof hiking shoes to hike there? I read the post under, and she mentioned that be ready for wet walk. So Im wondering.

2. Is there any 'camping possible' location near the city? maybe in the HK island?
The reason why I said 'camping possible' instead of campsite is that I just need to be able to set my easy and small 3person(so actually fits 2ppl tight)tent and sleep.

3. How bad is it to set the tent up in some random location?
Im talking about - 1. no one will know, 2. police will fine me, 3. Im fine as long as no one reports me, 4. it will be really bad

4. How's the weather in October for camping? I know it is just around the corner of summer and fall, but it won't be that cold at night, right?

Thanks a lot!!
