Given that I live in Long Island most of the time, it only felt natural to post here. All's Welcome in the Berkshire Mountains.
Route 7, east side of the road, 2.4 miles north of the Ye Olde Forge Restaurant, (and 2.5 miles north of an exxon station), (and 5.7 miles north a pine tree). Address below.
I closed on my first home in The Berkshires (western mass) on October 9, 2009. Later that day I sat on my living room floor, looking up at a fake styrofoam beam (that no longer exists), and came to a small and expensive realization that I had no idea what I was doing. It's been a year later and I still have no idea what I'm doing; but I'm so much happier about it.
So happy, in fact, that exactly a year later I will be conducting my first official fiesta in the house. More accurately, my first fiesta AT the house. It's a wee bit tiny, so most of the excitement will happen around the fire pit, stream, horseshoe court, emu riding track, and other non-disclosed locations around my land.
It has also come to my attention that Monday, October 11 is Columbus day. Most Americans have that day free. Another thing to mention is that I still don't have a bed, which means that you are welcome to set up your tent with me. For two nights. Under a handsome set of berkshire stars (2 days after a new moon). There's plenty of space.
Two days of awesomeness in the wilderness of the Berkshires? what's a man/woman/child to do, you might ask yourself.
The answer: Bourbon? Get Lost on Mount Greylock? Balderdash? Scotch with a straw? Hot & Extra Crispy Buffalo Wings? Blow Gun Tag? S'mores with Beer? Who knows.
There shall be plenty of liquid that is both crisp and satisfying but don't let that scare you away from bringing your very own and special bevarages. BBQing also has a prominent outlook.
Woody Harrelson and Susan Alexandra Weaver (aka, Sigourney Weaver) were going to perform Abbot & Costello's Who's on First, but they double booked that day and had to cancel on me. Bastards. I'm looking for replacements.
If you have questions, ask me on saturday. at the party. october 9 at 8pm, goes till monday morning, october 11.
440 Williamstown Road (Route 7)
I won't be able to make it that weekend, but I do definitely want to come up and visit soon. Two other CS friends just moved to Easthampton so I'm thinking about heading east as well.
I'll let you know when I can make it and hopefully we can do something!
Sounds excellent. I'll have a Part 2 whenever you're ready, able, and thirsty.
