Suggestions for German gifts to bring to Chicago (city of imports)?!

Hi, I've just posted this in the Germany group and it was suggested I should try here, too...

I'm going to Chicago to stay with my grandmother and meet up with other family members for the winter holidays, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for very German foods/products to bring back as gifts that are absolutely not available in the US!

My problem is that Chicago has such a community of immigrants that basically everything is as easily bought there as it is here--so there's no point schlepping a typical Stollen or whatever over the Atlantic when you can buy even the same brand in the nearest Polish or German supermarket there...

Any suggestions?! Does any German who is living or has lived abroad really, really miss some particular thing you can only get in Europe?

Thanks in advance and happy Halloween!
Best,
Annushka
