WHO needs assistance?

Many people ask for help for nothing in return and I guess people might just be getting tired of always helping and never being offered any in return. Yes this might be due to the very goodness of a great number of people, but even if those people don’t want help in return, now I want to do just that. Help for help.

If we don’t trade with money, is it our time we can trade?. I would like to travel the USA. But instead of relying on the kindness of strangers, getting food, shelter and transport for free, I would like to offer something in exchange. This exchange is for my time. I want to help you, accompany you, work for you or participate in something you do in exchange for the basics of travel. A place to stay, some food to eat and the means on getting to and from places. Everything is down to you, the help you give me and the help you want yourself.

I feel this is a fairer exchange rather than just taking and receiving help from strangers….so what would you want me to do. I will be starting in new York in late July and have until end of august to get to san Francisco. I’ll go wherever and to whoever. If you like my idea and what to be apart of it or know someone who would, any suggestions of groups or people who would be worth contacting, I can only encourage you to pass on this idea. I guess the rest is down to you and would you want a 26 year old English guy to help you out. Think about it.

Thanks for reading (if you did).

Hey Paul! You have a point but this is not the place to put it. There are many volunteering based websites that offer the same as you describe. Some like workcamps.info, workaway.info, etc. Decent people know how to say thank you and cheeky people will take advantage no matter what. And can you imagine a profile like "I offer a couch for two in exchange for cleaning the toilet and my room". That may go too far so don't spoil the idea of cs and other webs similar to this one.

if you are just thinking about doing something in exchange and not aspecially world health organization, woofingt might be an option for you.
you stay at a farm or something compareble, work during day for some hours and get a place to sleep and food for free. if you are a good negotiating, you might get some pocket money as well.
