Big Room For Carnival - Good Offer - Cuarto Grande Para Carnaval
Posted January 29th, 2013 - 11:30 pm by from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (Permalink)

We have a room avaible for carnival period, from february 7th until 16th. Suitable for 3 persons. Feel free to send me a PM or using gmail (waiandt.gabriel@gmail.com) and Skype (gabriel.waiandt).

Here follows a detailed description of the whole place,

A complete balanced shared life, between four (two will be traveling, that's why we are here) open-minded and entrepreneur guys who seek interesting people all over the world to keep sharing new ideas and thoughts. Our mission is to learn from you and makes these new ideas and
thoughts grow even more and go further.

We are all studying and working in the marvellous city and as I mentioned before, two of us will travel during Carnival period, because of that we decided to put this announcement and hopefully help you to have a temporary home here.

We live in Cidade Nova neighbourhood It's downtown and it's well located for transportation and very safe, just one street from Presidente Vargas Avenue, where has buses to everywhere, 25 mim to Copacabana / Ipanema beach. Also there are 3 Metro Stations close from here (Cidade Nova, Estacio and Praça Onze), with access to both Rio Metro Lines.

Carnival Period in Rio best place are Lapa and Santa Teresa, as you can find in the guides, there you can find the real and best street carnival in rio (called "blocos") and parties 24h.

Lapa, the famous Bohemia place in Rio is just 5 mim away from here. From Lapa you reach Santa Teresa walking (15 mim) or by bus. It's sad that our famous Santa Teresa cable car isn't working anymore.

The second and not less important carnival spot is the official parade, called Sambódromo as you may know. You need to save one night to see this magic.

Sambódromo or "Sapucaí" as we also call, is just 5 mim walking from our place, if you came to Rio thinking of party carnival from friday to Wednesday this is your place!

By the way, in front of our building there is one of the Samba Schools that goes to the Sambódromo Parade, feel free to join the party :)

The announced room is the biggest in the apartment and will be furnished with, two single beds, an extra mattress, two wardrobe, computer desk, office chair, curtains and a central fan to guarantee your few sleeping hours.

The whole apartment is fully furnished with TV (to be sincere we don't use and we hope you won't need also), High speed wireless connection (free of charge, of course). Moving to the kichen you have everything you need, stove, microwave, refrigerator and a washing machine. Two bathrooms and a balcony with an hammock, feel free to lay down and relax listening to Samba!

How do I get there from the airport?
By bus, if you don’t arrive late in the night we have a very safe and comfortable bus option straight home.

Is it really safe to walk around?
Yes, we are close to 3 subway stations that will be working 24h during Carnival period and one block from the official parade (Sambódromo). Police works 24h around our building.

It's possible to smoke in the building?
At the balcony please.

Suitable for kids?
No, carnival in Rio is also for families but I would recommend another place.

Closest landmarks?
Small supermarket 2 blocks and half away, drugstore 2 blocks, nice and not expensive restaurant 3 blocks (with delivery option, foods and beer), 24h ATM inside subway station.

We don't have any problem with English, Portuguese and Spanish languages. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Be welcome!
