Adventure central America-looking for crew!
Posted April 29th, 2013 - 11:05 pm by from Stockholm, Sweden (Permalink)
Hi, I am looking for crew to join me from Key West to Cuba and then the cost of Central America.

I am a 24 years old Swedish student tanking a break form my studies. I ended up buying my first sailboat in Florida. But I have been sailing many years. If you are really interested in sailing, exploring and want to learn more, you are welcome! I would prefer to have crew my own age.

I have a Tartan 27-2. I am planning to leave in middle of May.

hey Elise! i admire you for buying your sail boat and just taking off on your own! one day i want to do the same!!! im a traveller from Russia, been on the road for the last 8 years and recently got intersted in sailing, want to learn it now ... your example is very inspiring, proving a common mistaken opinion that a woman cant sail solo (or it is extremely difficult). im currently in san diego, CA and planning a long sailing trip from south east asia to south pacific and australia (as a crew) starting this july... it is nowhere near your route, i know.
but i would like to stay in touch, who knows, maybe one day we meet somewhere. good luck to you and fair winds!
Marina.

I am heading down to the Central America area... Costa Rica is probably as far south as I will go. If you get anywhere near that area, please contact me as I would be very interested in joining your crew then!

Best of luck in your travels,
Ariel

Any idea where you will be come end of June?? I am adventuring down to Socal and eventually to Catalina island and then we shall see from there!

I have worked as a sailing trip leader on 20-22 ft. lightning and caledonians and as a deckhand on a 130 ft. tallship.

I'd love to join on ventures if I can!

Have you already left? I'm really interested in being part of your crew! I just graduated from a university in Texas with a degree in Advertising and am looking for a new adventure!

Hi everyone! I have not left yet! The plans have changed and now I will probably just sail to Cuba and leave my boat there for the hurricane season. Buy if someone is interested in joining the short trip and hang around in Cuba send me a PM :) And I will get back to you!

Hi Elise, I would like to sail from Key West to Cuba, I live in Naples Florida, so I could arrive in a few hours time. Experienced deckhand and captain, Im employed on a 106ft vessel for the passed 10 yrs. Summer is here and my schedule is quiet, I have vacation time to use & this would be a short fun trip! Thanks, Jessica
