Happy New Year Udate

Just trying to get current here. Been crawling around the Alps visiting old CS friends and eating. Not exactly in that order.

It would be helpful to me if everyone certain of attending would sign up over in the Ciudad Colon, Costa Rica activities section.

Right now I see myself, Steve Brown, Betsy Taylor, and Mauricio Morales, a local CS member. Another local member, Linda Pendleton, has posted that she'll be attending, and there are a few people trying to arrange flights. I'll post to the local lists looking for couches in case there are more bodies than beds. My friend and fellow CS Sharon Hammer, who lives in San Ramon, CR, ill be helping out with details as well.

I've added (or will) a tour of the workshop and gardens of my old friend and Costa Rica's best known woodworker, Barry Biesanz. It's a great and different place to see his fine work and also what he and his wife, Sarah Blanchet, are doing for local tree populations. It's also our go-to shop for special gifts and souvenirs. http://www.biesanz.com/

More to follow.

I went to the Cuidad Colon page and I did not see how to sign up in the activities section. All I saw was the possibility of adding an activity. I presume we were suppose to sign up on your activity, rather like excepting an Evite. Could you explain further?

I was on your last list of folks attending, but am not on this one?? Flying standby is different than arranging flights. It is not a matter of if, but rather when.

The new CS setup is awful.

I agree Sharon. Having a difficult time getting back to previous entries. Wonder why the change and also wonder if they will go back to the previous setup.

CS keeps sending me (over and over) the names of everyone who's signed up on the activity site. Very strange...the last notice panicked me...said that 5 NEW people have signed up. When I looked, it was the same 5 as the last notice. I do wish they'd get their act together. This will probably be the last year for many of us on CS.

I hate the new CS website - it took me forever to find the activity. It kept going to Cologne until I finally put Costa Rica first in the search bar. Then the activity was several scrolls down. When Ticos have trouble with my family name, I tell them don't worry, Gringos have just as many...

Happy New Year, and see you soon!

I am also struggling with the new CS website. After reading Linda's email, I thought perhaps SARAMANDAIA meant conversations and looked there but could not find it. If it is in conversations, and we know the title, we can search for it. I tried searching on SARAMANDAIA to no avail. Help!

I am glad I am not the only one being challenged by the new CS website. I don't know where I am supposed to go RSVP but count me in for Costa Rica!
