Rooftop party & Jam session II
Posted June 23rd, 2013 - 4:18 pm by from Leiden, Netherlands (Permalink)
Dear everyone,

since we have a rooftop in Mong Kok, we think we need to put it to good use. And of course, turning it into a open stage for musicians is a bloody good use. That is why it is our pleasure to invite all of you to come and bring your instruments for a Rooftop Jam session!

We have got:

- Power sockets, where you can connect your amplifiers,

- A fired up BBQ, where you can grill your food

- A big box full of ice, where you can cool your drinks

We need:

- You! Playing your instrument, alongside us and others

Of course, if you don't play you are also welcome, but don't be surprised if you're asked to sing the song of your people to the music of the band!

So feel free to join us next Saturday, starting at 7pm in Mong Kok.

And if you want to join: please leave your name below, by copy - pasting the following:

1. Jeroen (Guitar) (open)
2. Tasha (Rythmic Table Drums)
3. Jonas (Singing)
4. Oscar (Long Distance Mental support)
5. ...

Please leave your contribution in brackets, so that we also have an inventory of instruments available! Of course if you don't have an instrument, you can put something else there that sounds cool. Also, if it's alright for you if anyone else plays your instrument, add (open) behind it. Then we don't run the risk of having 5 keyboards up there :)

Best,

Jeroen

Hi Jeroen,

That's great that you are arranging one more again! I recognized this event last time, but I was stuck in my exam previously... Would finish my exam by Thursday and would LOVE to join:)

I can make some little desserts/ cookies as well!! I play a bit of piano, but I would love to sing together! Looking very forward!

6. Fonnie (sing)

Cheers,
Fonnie

This is probably the most genius concept ever having a rooftop ;). I'll be there if it's saturday 29th..
Do you guys have a link to this event?
I used to play the piano but I haven't got it with me in my backpack :)

Alright, we are doing pretty well added to the list, we also have a saxophone (+player :) ), another guitar and more vocals.

What would really finish off this jam would be some keys and maybe even a bass. So let's pull our resources and look for those people who could bring a Keyboard or a bass to the table!

The address for tomorrow is Tung Choi Street 160. Closest MTR exit is Prince Edward, B2. If you haven't been to our rooftop before, call +852 -64897519 when you're there, to obtain the secret entry code.

As always in Hong Kong, there is chance of rain and thunder storm. So we'll closely monitor the forecasts. For now the best bet is that we're going to be ok! If that changes, we'll post it on here, a few hours before the party, so please check this webpage before departing!

Hope to see you all there tomorrow! We start at 7pm, don't forget to bring your own food, drinks and instuments :)

The weather seems to favour us! Let's rock tonight, haha

By the way, if you're not sure where to get food and drinks, there's a Park&Shop right across the road at the mgr exit (Prince Edward B2).

Still not sure if we're going to have a keyboard over, so anyone with a suggestion can provide a great musical impulse to the evening :)
