"Tickled Pink" Comedy Improv Show, October 11
Hi folks - here's an idea for a fun thing to go to tonight: "Tickled Pink", a comedy improvisation show by local English-language troupe People’s Liberation Improv.
This show is part of Pink Season, Hong Kong's LGBT festival (don't worry, you don't have to be L or G or B or T to attend). See http://pinkseason.hk/
Come and laugh out loud at PLI's improvised, unscripted scenes, made up on the spot (honestly!) and inspired by suggestions from you, the audience – just like in the show “Whose Line is it Anyway?”. You say it, we play it! See http://www.peoplesliberationimprov.com
What: "Tickled Pink!" comedy improv show
When: Friday October 11, 9pm-10.30pm (well, it will actually start at about 9.10pm)
Where: The TakeOut Comedy Club, basement of 34 Elgin Street, SoHo, very close to the Mid-Levels escalator - see http://www.takeoutcomedy.com
From Central MTR exit D1 or D2, walk west along Queen's Road Central to the Mid-levels escalator. Walk up the escalator to Elgin Street (it's between Hollywood Road and Caine Road). Turn right. The Club is just a few doors down, on your right. It's a brisk 10-minute walk (or a leisurely 15-minute stroll) from the MTR.
Who for: Adults (not suitable for people aged under 18)
How Much: Usual ticket price: HK$150. Special discounted price HK$120 if you mention "Pink Season" when you book and then when you pay at the door.
Reservations and Enquiries: Contact Mr Jami Gong: 6220 4436 or email@example.com then pay cash at the door. (You don't absolutely have to book in advance - just get tickets at the door from 8.45pm and be sure to mention "Pink Season".)
The venue is not a restaurant or a bar, but you can bring your own drinks, discreetly (if you want cups/glasses/a bottle opener/a corkscrew, you'll need to bring your own). There's a 7-11 nearby.
By the way, just to be clear, this is not a commercial message. I am not the owner or an employee of the TakeOut Comedy Club, and I don't get paid to perform in or to promote the shows there. I'm just a member of PLI and performing is my hobby.
If you come to the show, please be sure to come and say hello to me afterwards. We all go out for a drink at a nearby bar after the show.
