What to do in Lesotho with parents?
Posted January 22nd, 2012 - 4:25 pm by from Flensburg, Germany (Permalink)
Hallo you all wonderful people!
I'm very happy to say, that I'm going to Lesotho in a few weeks. My parents and I are spending 2 weeks in southern Africa, and I've convinced my parents to visit Lesotho. I've been to SA before, but didn't have the chance to visit Lesotho back then.
We will travel by car and spend about 2-3 nights in the country.
My trouble is, that my parents are 64 and 75 old and therefor cannot comfortable do long hikes (3-4 hours).
So I'm looking for recommendations on activities in Lesotho, that are not physical stressful. Any suggestions?
We will arriving from the Garden Route, but I don't know which border we will arrive from. What do you think?
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Cheers Louise

definitely go to Sani Pass would be my suggestion. You can horse ride for an hour or more on really tame horses or they just have cabins that are cozy. Maseru is the "big city" so the tourist building is there, looks like a Basotho hat :)

Hi Andrea
Thanks for the reply! I've heard good things about Sani Pass but also about Malealea. Is there enough to do at Sani Pass for three night do you think? Do you know if they offer 4x4 drives?
Thanks Louise
