We had a great time in vancouver, but unfortunately, we got SCREWED by our sunday night host... "Miss Jemima" (who apparently has deleted her profile now)

She messaged us 12 times, yes. 12 times, asking for VODKA. she wouldn't even open her DOOR, why? because she just wanted vodka?

Basically, this drunk, crazy girl, denied us of our couch that was offered because we didn't bring her vodka... I broguht her a bottle of wine, from my hometown, actually. but she will never see that.

AFter waiting close to 45 minutes in her doorway asking her repeatedly, "what number apt are you?" she finally came down, and bitched at us for not bringing vodka... saying "If you guys weren't going to bring vodka, why didn't you come? I'll give you an ultimatum, you either change your attitude or leave"... we left. fuck that. We don't need that bullshit. That was ridiculous.

Ask around people, we had a blast here, we never once had an issue. it was AWESOME. but this character destroyed our hopes of a gareat night. Now we are back with another CS friend (thanks Miranda) but with a terrible taste in our mouth.

BULLSHIT. that's what i call it. I hate being treated like that, this website is not about YOU. it's about community. And that, my friends, is some BULLSHIT.

If you know jemima, or see her get a profile back up under a new surname, please message me, id love to put a negative reference with the entire text message history for you. this whack job needs to be called out. thanks for destroying my olympics.

I actually had a great experience with CouchSurfing during the Games. I once again hosted a Dutch gal, Janneke, and she was, once again, absolutely the perfect guest!

In all groups, there are always idiots and selfish twits who take for granted another's hospitiality. Thankfully they are few & far between.

We had a great time. Thanks Batman for trying to meet up with us. We loved your cities (whistler and Van).
We did surf a non-couch surfer acquaintence's couch, and had a great time.
keep the faith. Do your due diligence.
