rooms available in Coquitlam
Posted October 10th, 2012 - 9:41 pm by from Coquitlam, Canada (Permalink)
I have two rooms available a few flat blocks from Coquitlam central transit station, next door to Douglas College and the Pinetree Community Centre. These are available monthly or even weekly.

This is a large and often busy house with occasional roommates and regular surfers and guests. Even if these rooms are rented out this still leaves a couple rooms available for the overnight guests.

The house has large living areas with pool table, party room, quiet rooms, large kitchen, deck, patio, private back yard, hot tub, five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It is located nine flat blocks from Coquitlam Center, four blocks from direct buses to downtown and skytrain and twelve blocks from the Westcoast Express train station and a night bus stop. Travel time to downtown by transit ranges from 60 - 90 minutes and by car from 30 - 60 minutes.

This is not in the middle of no-where... there are at least four Starbucks, three Tim Horton's (and a couple organic, fair-trade independent coffee places), five bars, four hundred retail stores (including stores like Apple, H&M, and the big retailers), lots of large grocery stores (T&T, Safeway, Price-Smart, Real Canadian Superstore, IGA, Henderson, Choices Organic, Kin's Market), a Community Center, an Aquatic Center and a Library within twelve pedestrian and cycling friendly blocks.

For info on the area google Coquitlam Town Center or Coquitlam Centre

one new roommate at of the beginning of November but there are still a couple empty rooms to choose from and I'd rent one out weekly or monthly.

other than occasionally being full of surfers (five bedrooms were full a couple nights last week) the house is once again empty. There is one person moving in in mid-January but still four rooms to choose from and I'd like to rent one more of them out.

Hi Clayton,

How much are you asking per month?

I have three furnished rooms and a studio combination at $525 (small room with no closet space), $575 larger room with bed and desk, $600 larger room with bed and desk in a study nook... the fellow that moved out recently was a writer and he loved it) and $1100 for bedroom and living room / studio with half kitchen. The rates include utilities, wifi and washer / dryer but do not include cable TV. It also includes use of the hot tub, pool table and common rooms. The full kitchen is very well equiped with cookware, appliances, dishes, etc. One of the two larger rooms will be filled soon.

rooms available again.

I am living here alone again... though you'd hardly know it as it is rare that there is not at least one other person - and up to nine others recently- staying overnight in the house.

once again I am looking to fill a room.

I've had great people here and hope to keep up the string of good roommates so once again I'm hoping to do it through the CS community before advertising on Craigslist.

This coming month I am busy and can't be a very attentive host so the home won't be very busy or crowded... and while busy I would rather just have someone living there than the constant distractions of meeting and hosting surfers. In the next four weeks I have some nights with no surfers and so far the most for any night is four.

The large room is booked for May and the room / studio combo may be booked starting in September.
