Inexpensive room available from Feb 15th to Mar 31st in Brooklyn.

Hey guys! So we have a small-ish room (7' by 11') room available for 6 weeks in a 3 bedroom apartment in the middle of Brooklyn.

The neighborhood we live in is considered Prospect Lefferts Gardens and we are ONE block away from Prospect Park. We are also around the corner from the Parkside Ave station on the Q train which can get you to Union Square in Manhattan in a little over 23 minutes. The house is on a dead end street so it's pretty safe.

Your roommates would be couchsurfers as well in their mid 20s. Naomi from France and Kalvin from Michigan share a room and Stefan from Massachusetts has the other (though he's subletting his room for the month of February while he's in Guatemala to a gentleman named Kelly from Arizona). They are all considerate, easy going, and just plain friendly people to get along with.

We are looking for a laid-back person who will help keep the common rooms clean. Male or female. All foods welcomed but no smoking inside. No pets either, sorry!

For the entire six weeks the rent would be $750 which includes all utilities except $10 a month for internet. I would also like to have a month's security deposit of $500 that would be returned to you at the end of your stay. We can talk about the security deposit if it's too much for you but preference will go towards someone who can.

If you have any questions please feel free to message me or ask me on here. I will have some pictures up by tomorrow. I'll be in and out of town but I would love to show the place whenever I'm available. Just a warning, there are NO windows in the room but there is a skylight. But it gets kind of warm in the room when it's so cold outside. It has really high ceilings!

Thanks and good luck,
Tim

ps if you need to come in a few days earlier we can discuss this as well.

oh yeah, and the room comes a book shelf, a small dresser, a desk, and a queen sized AIR mattress. It's comfy though!

Here are two pictures of the room and one of the kitchen:

A couple of things to add/update:

1. Move in date: As soon as possible! If you moved in on February 14th it would be $250 for the rest of the month and then $500 for the month of March. But if you wanted to move in before February 14th we could talk about a price.

2. Security deposit: Though we are asking for a full month secuirty deposit of $500 this is up to discussion if you can't afford it. Renting the room to a nice person is the most important thing.

3. MOVE OUT DATE: I said the move out date of the sublease would be March 31st but there's a good chance we are going to look for another roommate around that same time so it could be you. This would be something to discuss in early March when Stefan (the lease holder) gets back from his trip.

Thanks!

The room has been booked from February 15th until February 28th. I am still looking for someone for the month of March.

*Also sorry but no couples. That would put 5 people in the apartment with one bathroom. A bit too much haha.
