Moving to Long Beach for Exchange Semester
Posted January 28th, 2013 - 10:39 pm by from Hamburg, Germany (Permalink)
Hey Guys i move to Long Beach in Juli/August for making one or two exchange Semester. I wanted to releax and first do some couchsurfing and then start looking for a new home.
You think this is the best way either or better start checking the internet from now on?

how is the living situation?

Any Area Tips? I do skateboarding and i would love to better my surfing skills, so living close to a beach, would be a bomb! but sure, don't think that it's possible, i can't work in the states- means i got no money. ;)

Hey Becky,
My Name is Carlos, I live in Lakewood (borders Long Beach). saw your profile and it looks like we have things in common. Currently I'm not too active in couchsurfing, I have 2 jobs (work for LAX and also for the University of Southern California "USC") Thus, not much at home, HOWEVER, I'd be happy to help you...My place is roughly 10Min drive from the beach, or a 25min ryde on bycicle (I own a few of them). You can read my profile, it has more information. I have many friends that come visit me and it's difficult to predict if the spare room would be available, even if someone else is here, I'm sure I'll have room for you.

Saludos y un abrazo fuerte.
Carlos Valencia.

This is really random but there's no surf in Long Beach. There is a breakwater, thus no waves. best chance is going to Huntington beach if you wanna surf.
