"I feel ignorance should be severely punished :("

I believe it is, along with bad faith and arrogance.

I always amuse myself by searching for Lerwick, capital of the Shetland islands (not a major tourist spot, but home to a small group of CS hosts last time I checked and famous for the up helly aa festival amongst other things). Previously it was located in the 'Aberdeen' Place page (14 hours away by boat) now in an apparent improvement, it is located in the 'Inverness place page' - 14 hours away by boat, THEN two and a half hours drive away. Of course, Carlisle and Newcastle (probably a further 8-10 hours drive away... from Inverness that is) are listed as 'Nearby' places.

Oh, and did you ever want to see Hadrian's Wall? No?

It has its own place page. Overkill?

'cos they don't exist.

Part of the problem with creating place pages for tourist attractions - like Hadrian's wall - is that no-one lives there, so there's no-one to put in the dating portal errr I mean place page collage.

That's strange. When I type West Bank into "Where would you like to go" I end up in Cambridge/England...

And "East Bank" gets me to Manchester...

"North Bank" = Banjul/Gambia

"South Bank" - London Area

and "South Park" is located in Colorado.

I finally got it: This is supposed to be a quizz you can play with your friends, hosts or guests on a rainy day!

Have some fun yourself:

If you are looking for a "couch", you end up in Ozark National Scenic Riverways Area Missouri, while "host" lands you in Ceske Budejovice Area/Czech Republic.

"Heaven" is supposed to be found in the Kish Island Area/Iran, and "hell" in Ann Arbor Area/Michigan

"Home' is in the Tokyo Area (Espinoza seems to have programmed that one...), and Away is in Des Moines/Iowa.

CS is the worst 30 millions US$ fuckup ever. They are training to get into Guiness record book in fact.

I am these days in Almaty, biggest city of Kazakhstan.

A screenshot of the banner of the Almaty area page:

It says "part of Kazakhstan", which is true. It's near the Kyrgyz border, but well have a lok at the names included in the "area":

Bishkek: capital of Kyrgystan, ~230 kms
Kashgar: in China
Tashkent: capital of Uzbekistan ~850 ms from Almaty
Dushanbe: capital of Tajikistan ~1300 kms from Almaty
Karagandy: one of the biggest city of Kazakhstan, but in the middle of the country. Distance Almaty-Kargandy ~2400 kms

A map of the "Almaty Area":

in the meanwhile, the chief tech of CS coders goes around the net at developers forums talking trendy jargon ("branlette intellectuelle" could we say in french) about the redesign of the site, and Espinoza explains why 30 millions where necessary to improve stuff.

"Try starting a conversation there (Rome Area), and a Pop Up asks you which category do you want to use.."

I like it, especially the "Everything else" category which holds all past conversations and where you are now allowed to have discussions about the website ;-)

However, if you want to go from rags to riches, the website keeps you right on the place page you are on. Good to know!

Well, what do ya except, they put 22 millions of dollars, they have to "work"! Its your typical McDonald's work pukeosophy: you completed all of your tasks and you absolutely don't have anything to do, you screw some shit so that boss sees you work.

My phone home number is located in Vanersborg Area, Sweden, while mobile number (including / - ) is in Izmir, Turkey. I knew those fuckers from down there stole it, damn!

666 relates to Plovdiv, Bulgaria and I would be very DISSAPOINTED if otherwise.

Apparently, USA confiscated everything worth living for: Marijuana, LSD, Heroin, AIDS, alcohol, nicotine (this shit is creepy, zombieland, Children of the Corn, parental advisory, "please help"). Although, opium is still in Slovakia. No wonder they filmed Hostel. Its revenge out of jelousy.

Pristina and Kosovo are non-existent. It has always been the black hole of Balkans...

BTW, when I type my name I get a village of 1.5 millions of souls somewhere in north of Italy. Screw you guys, I totally obliterate and enslave. :)

Welcome back, Zoe. Appartently seen from San Francisco it all looks like one big blob. And then they love reinventing the wheel and taking risks. They're not gamers for nothing.
