I'm thinking about heading off to Toronto myself. I work in film and Toronto has a bustling industry, and it seems to be a better starting point for cheap European travels. I still love Chicago of course, but you can travel round-trip between Chicago and Toronto for under $100 which is pretty good. The exchange rate also plays a factor.
And I figure a group about people leaving the U.S. is bound to get political sooner or later, so I'll cut to the chase: I'm scared of any U.S. President who would invade Iran, and it's looking like Hillary vs. Rudy in 2008, so...
How about you?
Just got back from New Zealand, and really didn't want to leave. No nukes, No Bush, Green pastures, no war involvement, Universal Healthcare, non-litigious culture...what more could one ask for?
I almost moved once I got back, but a committment to Acupuncture school kept me here - for now. I have been soooo torn ever since. I miss it soo much, and am really thinking if I made the 'wrong' decision to stay here for the next three years.
Plan was to finish school and THEN move to NZ. But my heart is breaking!!
Belize keeps calling my name, but I have yet to visit.
I'm a corporate slave refugee. My "owners" thought Bush was the best ever! gag. The waters are muddy...not sure what I should do next. I always wondered if I would know when it was time to leave. Now I know, but find myself unwilling to leave my sons behind. Mostly, I'm trying not to ANALyze too much, as Kalispell suggests in her profile. :)
Brazil or somewhere in America del Sur...to teach!
I'm going to start traveling in Canada first before heading back into the States in May. I'm just sick of being here, I want to branch out.
