Hey everyone, I'm dogsitting for a friend in Campbell (long story) and this is my first time to the Bay Area. What is there for a nature-oriented person to do that is accessible by public trans and doesn't take three hours to get to?
Good veg*n food in San Jose? Fun stuff to do there?
If you have access to a bike that fits you (if you're around 5'8" plus/minus an inch or two, I have a bike I could lend you), there are a few bike trails around the South Bay. The Los Gatos Creek trail runs through Campbell and if you're an experienced biker, the Santa Cruz Mountains aren't a bad place to ride either as long as you know which roads to avoid.
Hi! I do actually have access to a bike-but let's just say I'm really really bad at biking. I did manage to get to Los Gatos and do some hiking yesterday though, and I've been walking the dog along the creek trail. Thanks for your suggestions.
