Can I live in your driveway?

I hope to get a job with solar city, or some other solar outfit in the Bay Area after I graduate with my Associates in Solar Energy Tech, but I'm terrified of the high costs of getting established in the Bay Area. I've been considering buying a cheap RV and camping in someone's yard/driveway. I could pay a few hundred dollars per month for the privilege while I get myself more established.

Does this seem feasible?

Any Advice for a Wisconsinite moving to Cali with a limited amount of saved up student loan money?

Hey if your willing to live in an RV there are county parks that have camping. I mean if no one takes you up on letting you stay in their driveway.

http://www.sccgov.org/sites/parks/Camp%20Here/Pages/Get-back-to-nature-while-staying-close-to-home-.aspx has a list of Santa Clara county parks. I had a friend who lived in the Saratoga park for awhile when working for Apple and trying to find a house to buy. I'm not entirely sure what the month rates would be.

Thanks for the reply Marlene!

Living in the park does seem quite appealing, and Sanborn isn't very far from where I'll be (hopefully) working. Unfortunately I suspect with their limited number of RV sites (15) that they wouldn't be to keen on monthly discounts (I'll call and verify just in case:)

$30/night would be around $900/month, which really isn't too bad all things considered, but I was hoping to spend closer to half that amount. Maybe I should consider squatting...
