Looking for some tips to know California
Posted April 11th, 2013 - 4:45 pm by from Sao Paulo, Brazil (Permalink)
Hi evereybody,

I'm planning to stay 3 months 'wwoofing' around USA. Specifically at California and Arizona. Wwoof is a voluntary project in organic farms (www.wwoofusa.org). I will stay one month (May/June) in a farm near Monterey Bay-CA and another complete month (July/Aug) in a farm close to Grand Canyon.

I'll arrive in San Francisco, around May 7th. From San Francisco to Flagstaff-AZ I'll try to Hitch-hikking. I'm thinking about Hitch-hiking through all Cabrillo Highway long (coast of CA) until get to Los Angeles.
I saw some photos of nice places in this way, like 'Montana de Oro', 'Monterey', 'Point Lobos state reserve', 'Pfeiffer Big Sur state park' etc.

Do you think this way is a really great one? Have you some other tips to give me? maybe other beautifull or interesting spots/villages located out of the coast region. Could the hitch-hikers tell me if it's OK to get a ride around this way?

I'll probably request for a couch later as well.

If you can, answer me by personal message please.

(sorry for my english xD )
