hey there,

happens to be that i'm in san francisco at the time of the potluck thingy, yay. would be great to join some CS'ers for a little dinner and beer, if you allow me to join in^^.not sure what i can bring since i'm still in switzerland right now and 9-11 security policies don't allow me to board the plane with a big cake (TSA security officers have no sense of humour, sadly). but i'll think of something.

and probably i'll need directions...

have a great weekend everbody

That's awesome that you want to join us!!! As far as what you want to bring, don't worry too much. A lot of people bring some combination of bread/hummus/chips/salsa/beer, etc. If you want some more ideas or some help getting around the city to find something interesting, definitely get in touch with me. That's entirely untrue that the TSA officers have no sense of humor. If they question your cake, just say "Cake? This isn't a cake, it's a concealed nuclear device!" They'll think it's so funny that they'll just wave you on through. I can also help you out with directions, etc. I live on the edge of the park. My # is 954.817.0212. Can't wait for you to join us!

Great! Looking forward to it! Just don't take my smartass advice seriously or you'll find yourself in guantanamo having pastries inserted in places they don't belong.
